I’m playing footbag with Peter Irish on Kitsalano Beach in Vancouver. What are YOU doing?

On Sunday, we wanted to be over at Jericho, but the location just plain sucks for freestyle. The road was there, but cars kept disturbing the session and there was no shade (making it especially hard for me with my sensitive skin condition).
We really did want to be social and watch some net games, but we also wanted to have a real session. And if we hadn’t left and gone down to Kits Beach, we probably wouldn’t have known that Peter was in town. He was training martial arts on the beach there; he wasn’t visiting for footbag (although he did end up playing with us a couple of times).
Next year will be different. Next year we’re actually going to organize a freestyle competition and set up a small stage That way we can really all be friends and intermingle Otherwise we basically feel like we have to choose between sitting around watching net (as fun as that is) and freestyling . . .
At least we should have come over for a while and said hi and stuff, but we’re lazy freestylers, remember?
