Major Site Changes
This day has been a long time coming. I’ve just published an updated version of the shop. This update is both incremental, bringing a lot of usability enhancements, and completely new; it’s been re-designed and the store itself no longer lives at /shredshop/, it now replaces the old “home page”, and lives right at the heart of things.
The biggest change you might note would be the new navigation system for browsing products. You’ll see that clicking on a product category loads a product list right into the box below it, without the entire page refreshing. The same concept applies to choosing a product from the list; it will load the product description into the page content area without the whole page refreshing. This method of browsing is somewhat experimental, and I could turn it off all together. I think it’s a much faster way of getting around, but I can see it becoming somewhat confusing for some users. I would encourage you to leave feedback in the comments below if you like or dislike this (or any) aspect of the new site.
I’ve been running through a bunch of tests to the new system, and am still finding a few pages here and there with funny formatting. I am endeavoring to work out these issues as fast as I can. The blog template should be updated sometime this evening.
Yes, the new background image is a photo of the sole of a QM03 footbag shoe (soon to be back in the shop!).
UPDATE 1: The blog template is coming along, but it still needs a lot of love.
