Jorden Moir has a new video up where he demonstrates all the cool tricks he can do using two footbags (at the same time–more or less). Check it out (directly on YouTube):
I’ve got some fun tricks that I can do with two and even three bags, but I suppose I’m not motivated enough just now to make a cool video like Jorden did. Thanks for all that you’re doing to promote footbag Jorden! Keep up the great work.

User ‘Holliday’ posts on modified about “The Human Body: Pushing the Limits & Footbag?”. He points to a show on Discovery Channel that’s got cool info-graphics backing up explanations of the latest theories on how the body works.
Anyway, there was this section on juggling a soccer ball, and in depth about muscle memory. It then went into how your body stores and reinforces the memory of the specific muscle.
Holliday
He points to the website for the show, and it appears as though you can download and watch the whole thing; which is pretty cool. Anyhow, Holliday makes a good point that you can apply what you learn from this to footbag. It basically boils down to sleeping well, but watching the videos couldn’t hurt either

Last year I was contacted rather out of the blue by the UK branch of MTV (homeboy called me at 4AM!). They found me via my YouTube profile and wanted to know if I would make a short clip for a TV show / website that they were producing that featured people making challenges to do their best at some skill or another.
Given that I don’t like TV and don’t want to be on it (I’ve had too many bad experiences with TV people), I declined the offer, but I did take advantage of the opportunity for Dylan, and suggested that I knew someone better than me at footbag who would likely be down with idea. Indeed, Dylan was into it, so we shot a quick clip at our next session and sent it off to them. Check it out:

3.6MB Quicktime file
The idea was that the clip should look very much low-budget and home-made, so we didn’t bother with any editing or color corrections or anything of that sort; they’re all about appealing to a market segment. The speech was also pretty scripted in that they wanted him to say that he was the “best in the world!” and to challenge people to do better than him. Of course Dylan added his signature style to it
We told them we would only do it if we could use the term ‘footbag’
After submitting the clip and going back and forth over rights and waivers and a bunch of BS (that they weren’t very good at), we lost contact with them and never heard anything else about it. Until today that is. Svenja emailed Dylan to say that she had seen the clip on MTV where she is (Ireland)!!
And so it is that footbag is apparently getting pretty good coverage on MTV in the UK on some show. We don’t know full details of what the show is called or when and precisely where it is being broadcast, but rest assured that I’ll report back here when we know more.
Cool, huh?
Someone should take up the challenge
PS note that that’s a Mr. Sandbag Footbag that he’s using . . .
UPDATE:
Dylan’s post on modified:
once upon a time there was some television producers making a pilot for an MTV series aclled ‘Best. Show. Ever.’ to be aired in the UK. they contacted Allan Hagget who then turned to his friend Dylan Fry to shoot a small footbag clip to send in to the show. about 6 months later Dylan got an e mial from his friend Svenja who is living in Ireland. “I saw you on MTV” she typed excitedly. “you were saying ‘you think you can shred like this? you think you can sweat this much?’ .
the end.

Dylan Fry has been traveling South East Asia for the past several months, visiting Buddhist temples and meditating with the monks. He recently sent me this picture of a monk (Carla) wearing his Quantum02 Footbag Shoes while shredding:

Dylan left Cambodia yesterday for Vietnam. We’re hoping he’ll get tired of meditating soon (lol) and come back to Victoria to shred with us (a different sort of meditation), but his plan is to keep going for an undetermined amount of time. Here’s to Dylan continuing to expose SE Asia to footbag freestyle! Thanks for the pic D.
