Just testing to see what it’s like to post to the blog from my iPhone.
I’m thinking about starting to micro-blog during sessions a little more, and although Twitter (or something like it) is probably more appropriate, this is one way I could post …

On July 4th I received the following email from the Quantum03 Supplier:
Goods were sent today by air.
As goods will be on board from Hong Kong, I will give you the tracking no. in one or two days.
I was confirmed that goods will reach Nampa at around July 10th. So the time is really tight, but possible.
Then, on the 8th, four days later, I got the following:
Problem for the air shipping. Goods is still in HK waiting for loading… Shipping agent said the problem happens due to China Olympics.
Since I knew I was going to miss the deadline for getting shoes before the US Open Footbag Championships, I was put in a very difficult position. Seeing as how shipping by air costs nearly three times the amount shipping by sea does, we opted for the conservative approach and went for the sea option… Unfortunately this means the shoes won’t be arriving for another few weeks, but I simply couldn’t justify paying nearly $1000 for shipping something that was going to be late anyway. Now, we’re having them shipping directly to the nearest port: Portland, Oregon. I’m going to make the 6.5 hour drive to pick them up personally. When we do know the expected arrival date, we will update you here on our blog.
We had a nearly catastrophic problem last year at the World Championships: Our shoes had arrived in Los Angeles over three weeks before the tournament… But, due to unforeseen customs and train delays, they didn’t make it to Florida until the Friday before the finals weekend - the very last possible day.
We do sincerely apologize for the unexpected delay in shipping. As soon as we have a confirmed arrival date, we will set a hard deadline for the “pre-sale” pricing of the Quantum03 Footbag Shoe.
Peace.

That’s right folks… The long awaited Quantum03, the official footbag sneaker, is nearly here! They are in the air. At this particular moment, we cannot confirm the exact arrival date, but they are expected to Arrive on July 10th - perilously close to the US Open Footbag Championships…

I did have a dream last night in which David, the manufacturer’s representative, called me to confirm they would arrive on Friday, July 10, but alas it was “only a dream” - let’s hope this one comes true!

The Sole Purpose Footbag Club, which is by far the largest and most active club in the northwest, is again hosting the US Open Footbag Championships! This tournament is sanctioned by the International Footbag Player’s Association, and will be the premier event for footbag this year in North America!
Top contenders include last year’s winner Jim Penske, along with David Clavens, Gorden Bevier, Lon Smith , Nick Landes and Justin Dale. This year’s winner will have the bragging rights as the US Champion for 2008. One major competitor, Jorden Moir, will unfortunately not be making it due to having to decide between the US Open or the World Championships latter this summer in Prague. (I Can’t say I blame him for missing the Open).

Freedom Footbags will be in attendance at this event as a major sponsor and will have footbags, DVD’s, and hopefully Quantum03’s for sale.
You can find out all of the pertinent details for this event here.
See you there!

We’ve been selling the Fire Footbag, which is made in Australia, for quite some time now. Unfortunately, due to new regulations imposed by South Australia’s Office of Consumer and Business Affairs, the product has been banned from Export. We have a limited amount of stock left, and once it’s gone this item will be permanently discontinued.
The Fire Hack is absolutely not intended for unsupervised use by minors. This is why Freedom Footbags requires that customers be at least 18 years of age to purchase it. It is extremely dangerous, and must be used responsibly.

According to The Age, a longstanding newspaper (now online) in Victoria, Australia, South Australia’s Consumer Affairs Minister Jennifer Rankine had this to say about the fire footbag:
The Fire Footbag essentially becomes a flaming missile which presents extreme safety risks for people who could quite easily be burned by the footbag once it’s been set alight… Making such a dangerous item available to children or anyone else is absurd and unacceptable.
You can read the full article here: Flaming footbag toy banned in SA.
In closing we will reiterate that this footbag is not a toy, is is extremely dangerous, and is should only be used under sober adult supervision in controlled environment.
