Quantum 03 Footbag Shoe Update

I really regret having to post something without any definitive answers. But I figure an indication of the actual arrival date is better than nothing, and this is really the best I can do… So, the answer is, I expect the Quantum 03 Footbag Shoes to ship at the end of this week.

The dirty details:

1. It turns out that the “Marking Discrepancy” on the boxes did not end up holding up the shipment in Los Angeles as I was originally informed it would.
2. Thus, the shoes were shipped to Portland, Oregon and not directly to Nampa as I had hoped they would be.
3. They were supposed to have all of the paperwork in place and be ready for pickup on Monday, August 10th. I had my plans made to drive out Sunday and join the Soul Purpose Footbag Club for a their weekly Sunday afternoon session in Pioneer Courthouse Square.
4. Customs stepped and and thew a wrench in my plans… BOO! I have some nice colorful expletives for them which I will refrain from using on my family friendly blog. Most imported packages are not inspected by customs. I was unlucky enough to be selected in their somewhat random process of deciding which packages are inspected.
5. Not only will the customs inspection delay the shipment for several extra days, but I get to pay for the whole inspection process! I don’t know how much extra this is going to cost me, but I’m really rather perturbed about the whole situation. I have absolutely nothing to hide, and now I have to paying for an inspection that was randomly forced upon me. Were is the justice in that? Why not make the people that break the rules pay for the other inspections?

Anyhow, there’s nothing I can do about it now. The shoes will get here when they do, which will hopefully be by the end of the week. I’ve just got to cross my fingers now and hope that I can stuff 200 pairs of shoes in my ‘94 Saturn which by the time I complete the drive will have over one quarter million miles on it!
