Thanks to Malcohol
I was just perusing my footbag tag in my feed reader and noticed that there were some recent edits to the footbag article on wikipedia. This edit in particular was to fix some vandalism that had taken place.
I’ve been watching this article with some interest over the years, but haven’t had the time to participate in its maintenance or growth. But, I have consistently seen one user in particular who has been doing a great service to the footbag community by being very professional about keeping the wiki page up to date and staying on top of the inevitable vandalism that takes place. His wikipedia handle is Malcohol, but his name is Malcolm Tyrrell. Malcolm is “a post-doctoral researcher at the School of Computing of Dublin City University.”
I just wanted to take a moment here to sincerely thank Malcolm for his contribution to maintaining the footbag article on wikipedia. Having seen the type of garbage that other users have tried to insert into the article (just look at the discussion page), and read Malcolm’s rational, intelligent rebukes to these crazy people, I am so very happy that, for whatever reason, he has taken it upon himself to direct his attention to our cause.
THANK YOU MALCOLM!
