Vasek Klouda: Making Mainstream TV in a Second Commercial
Earlier this year, Vasek and Elis Piltz traveled to Africa to make a footbag commercail for K-Swiss. You can read up about the details of it in our blog archives.
Recently, Vasek’s been at it again - this time shredding up a… um, well a cellular phone. That’s right - there’s not even a footbag to be seen in this commercial: He’s actually freestyling with a mobile phone. I don’t believe there were any special effects used in making this video, just a lot of good video editing and at the cost of a number of phones that didn’t make the cut, so to speak. The video features several slow motion shots of ducking and spinning tricks. Vasek also manages to slip in a triple-over-down and a double pickup to a nice kick save. Check it out on YouTube or right below:
This footage was shot in Berlin for the company Vodafone and has thus far only aired in Germany on TV. Vasek looks a lot like a pro football (that’s soccer for us Americans) player for this video shoot, and this is surely because the commercial is being aired before the champion’s league matches. Thank you to Ole Schnack of planetfootbag for helping make this possible and Jan “Dexter” Struz for reporting it on www.footbag.cz.
