Who Me? Play Footbag?

What with gearing up for school, travelling to SJFF4, planning on the Brothers From Different Mothers website redesign, grieving for my Aunt and getting the new design for this place done, I’ve not really had much time or even the desire to play any footbag.

Sure, I played for a while at SJFF, but I wasn’t digging the gym floor there (slippery) and was fully distracted by personal stuff (see above) and while it was really, really inspiring to watch all awesome shred go down, it doesn’t appear to have been enough to motivate me to get back to it now that I’m home.

Add to a lack of motivation the fact that my shoes are completely shot and I can’t find suitable replacements … well, I haven’t stopped thinking about playing, but even as Svenja and Matt email and call me trying to get me to come out, I’ve turned them down a couple of times now and I honestly don’t know when I’ll be back at it.

On the shoe front, I’m thinking about getting a pair of the “G-Units” from Reebok, but I’m scared they’ll be too much like lavers and end up hurting my legs– though maybe with the amount of time I spend playing these days, this won’t be such an issue. Back when it was an issue, I was playing 4-5 times a week. I’m also not all that stoked on the idea of modifying the crap out of pair of shoes just to make them playable, but I think maybe I’ll have to get over that too. I really wish New Balance hadn’t discontinued the CT300’s :(

Anyhow, I guess this is enough rambling from me. I’d just been a while since I posted in my “journal”, so here it is :) I guess I’ll post again the next time I get out and shred.

hey allan it’s scott from seattle. i got a pair of g-units a while ago and love them. they have way more support than lavers. i’ve never played in 300’s so i can’t comment on how much support compared to them. i also play in my g-units practically unmodded(just cut open the toe pox sides). i strongly recomend them.

Thanks for the endorsement Scott :) I’ll be picking up a pair ASAP and will report back on how I feel about them.

It was great to see you again at SJFF :)
