[CONTEST CLOSED: RESULTS ARE HERE!]

We’re quickly approaching our 3000th order since implementing our new system back in November of 2004. To celebrate, we figured we would have little contest. Originally, we were thinking of making our 3000th order the winner of our $75 gift certificate. However, our legal department has informed us that this would be a violation of applicable federal laws. For the record, our legal department doesn’t really exist (too expensive for us), so we consulted “the web”.

Without further adieu, here are the official rules for this sweepstakes:

1. Sweepstakes is open until midnight mountain time on Sunday, June 17th, 2007.
2. Limit three (3) entries per household during the span of the contest.
3. Limit one (1) entry per day per household.
4. Anyone entering more than three (3) times in total (with the exception of paying website orders) or entering more than one (1) time per day will be disqualified from the contest. If someone places more than three website orders during the contest period, only the first (3) orders will count as entries.
5. There are three ways to enter:

(Entry Method #1) By pacing an order on the Freedom Footbags website between now and June 15th, 2007 and signing up for our newsletter you are automatically entered in the sweepstakes contest.
(Entry Method #2) To enter online without making a purchase you MUST do ALL of the following:

• Create a new customer profile (or use your existing one),
• Subscribe to the newsletter,
• Add a sweepstakes entry to your cart,
• Select pay via Check/Money Order (note you don’t need to send us a $0.00 check or money order to win),
• IMPORTANT: Use the coupon code “Sweepstakes” on the “Payment Information” page (where you select Check/Money Order) during checkout in order to avoid shipping charges on your sweepstakes entry.
• Confirm and submit your $0.00 “Sweepstakes Entry” order.

(Entry Method #3) Via Snail Mail: Send a postcard or letter with your name and address to:

6. Entries received via Snail Mail after June 16th will not be considered in the sweepstakes.
7. Winner will be selected at random on or after June 16th, 2007
8. Grand Prize is a $75 gift certificate.
9. Three (3) Consolation Prizes of $10 gift certificate will also be awarded.
10. Gift certificate prizes are valid only at the Freedom Footbags website and will expire 6 months after the prize is issued.
11. Except where prohibited, acceptance of the prize constitutes agreement by the winner to use his or her likeness for advertising, and or publicity purposes without further compensation.
12. All decisions regarding this contest will be made solely by Freedom Footbags and are final and binding in every respect.
13. Valid sweepstakes entries are conditional upon signing up for our newsletter and remaining signed up during the sweepstakes period. By entering this sweepstakes you agree to be contacted via email though our newsletter. You may cancel your subscription to the newsletter at any time by logging into your freedom footbags account here. Unlike some companies, we do not abuse our newsletter to spam customers. In fact, to date we’ve yet to send anything to our newsletter list - we generally post relevant news items here on our blog.
14. By accepting any prize you agree to all of the rules and regulations outlined here. If the winners of the prizes are do not agree to the terms and conditions set fourth in this blog, a new winner or winners will be chosen at random.
15. The Grand prize winner and Consolation prize winners will be contacted via the same method in which they entered the contest in withing a few days of the sweepstakes end on June 15th, 2007. The final winners will be posted here once they have agreed to the terms and conditions of this sweepstakes, otherwise a new winner or winners will be selected at random.
16. The grand prize winner will not be required to run naked through the streets with full bodily tattoos exclaiming “I LOVE FREEDOM FOOTBAGS” for any period of time, and doing so will not increase your chance of winning, nor is it condoned by Freedom Footbags. We’re just checking to make sure you were actually reading all of this.
