The original Mr. Sandbag Footbag is made here in Boise, Idaho, USA whereas the vast majority of our competitors sell bags that are made in Pakistan, Guatemala, or China. We’ve received literally dozens of unsolicited samples from these countries. Many of these samples are kickable, but you would be hard pressed to do any real freestyle with them because the materials are simply too inflexible to properly give for stalling. The Mr. Sandbag, on the other hand, is made of a material that is so supple that it can be stalled easily (in comparison to inferior materials) right off the production line.

The Mr. Sandbag (sometimes called the Mr. Sandman) has four panels and is filled with relatively course sand. This is the footbag that professional footbag players actually use (at least when they’re not using a custom made 32-Panel like the Richard Abshire A-910). In fact, Jim Penske, who is unquestionably one of the best shredders in North America, used a Mr. Sandbag to win two out of three events at the Seattle Juggling and Footbag Festival in Seattle.

The SandMaster 14-panel freestyle footbag is a very popular beginner to intermediate level footbag because it is great for learning stalls.  This machine sewn model has improved tighter stitching and a supple synthetic leather material that’s forgiving, making stalling tricks easy.  It’s larger size makes it attractive for beginners.  If you are doing more advanced freestyle tricks, the size will make uptime sets more challenging and you might consider a smaller footbag like the Mr. Sandbag, or any of our 32 panel footbags.  Overall, the SandMaster gets great reviews.

Accept no imitations!  This is the original Sipa Sipa crocheted footbag that has been around since the 80′s.  Sipa Sipa is such a popular brand name that many people unwittingly refer to any crocheted footbag as a Sipa.  This footbag is made from durable rayon thread and is filled with the signature large plastic beads.  It’s a classic footbag that’s great for basic kicks.

The Hempster crocheted footbag is fun and durable beginner’s footbag.  The plastic bead filled bag is an ideal economic bag for the casual kick circle.  The crocheted shell is made from environmentally friendly hemp.  This is a great bag for kicks, but we wouldn’t recommend it for freestyle tricks since it is not forgiving for stalls.

This tightly crocheted, intricately patterned footbag is filled with small plastic beads and ready for a booting. It is very durable and great for beginner kickers.

You may be able to find cheaper knockoffs elsewhere, but this bag won’t wear on your conscience as it is manufactured and sold while adhering to fair trade practices.
